Often size and weight will not be the real issue when shipping your luggage by air, as long as it complies with the size and weight restrictions of regular baggage. Larger items may pose problems and could force you to ship the item as cargo.
In most cases we are able to make arrangements for much larger and heavier items. If you like, we can even make arrangements for shipping your motorcycle to your vacation destination.
A lot on things in our regular life are not made for traveling by air and are even considered dangerous goods. There are more than 3600 dangerous goods listed in the IATA Dangerous Goods documentation.
For safety reasons, the following materials and articles are prohibited from being shipped as cargo:
Please be aware that some items are accepted as baggage or carry-on luggage, but are prohibited as cargo. For example – nail polish, hairspray, perfumes, matches, lighters, etcetera.
In order to comply with the Safety and Security regulations imposed by Transport Canada, we will have to enforce certain rules and guidelines. All shipments will be held for at least 48 hours and/or have to be manually search/X-rayed. At the discretion of the airline, they also might search the shipment before acceptance or while in transit.
We suggest that when you deliver your goods to us, that boxes be taped and sealed and to not lock your suitcases.
